Dream Bedroom with Debenhams

When I spotted the My Dream Bedroom competition on Love Chic Living and Mammasaurus, run by Debenhams earlier in the week, I was so excited to get designing!

I do love any excuse to spend my evening browsing the web to bring together a look and feel for a particular room in the house.  This time it was made easier by sticking to one website alone.  This competition was also easy to get into as I am already thinking about how I would like our bedroom to look in our new house.  So, being encouraged to sit down and really think about it was bliss.

MY dream bedroom with Debenhams
I started to style this room around the John Rocha bed linen which I would describe as classic and crisp with a vibrant edge.   I love colour but I also think a bedroom should be calm and relaxed so I tried to accent a mainly white theme with some interesting splashes of black and red.  I admit I do always get tempted my luxurious floral wallpaper and bed linen but then I remember that I need something that reflects Neil and I both.

Your colour scheme seems so peaceful and relaxing. It’s lovely you tried to style it to suit you both, too.

Also, block calendars are so neat! I have one in a duck egg-ishh colour, I saw it on a trip to Edinburgh 2 years ago and I’d never seen one, so I HAD to buy it.
