Like most mums I am always on the hunt for a reliable spill proof bottle that I can use while we are out and about. So when I was recently asked if I would like to do a grip ‘n gulp review for Nalgene it seemed like the perfect opportunity to try a new product.
The first thing that struck me about the grip n’ gulp (in the ‘hoot’ design) is how sturdy it is. The bottle itself is light but really durable, it feels instantly like a quality product. This is exactly what you’d expect from Nalgene, a company that have been providing high quality products that have been taken up Everest by intrepid explorers. I love how after cracking one extreme environment, they move on to the next, the toddler! True though, toddlers are an ever changing, crazy whirlwind so it makes sense to market something truly hard wearing.
The bottle is easy to fill , the seal feels secure and is dishwasher safe. The only downside I noticed from an adult perspective is that the valve used to drink from is quite firm, however this didn’t bother Nye at all. He found it easy to hold and took to the design immediately.
Here are my favourite features:
Side indents are easy for tiny hands to grasp
Rubberized lid and smooth plastic mouthpiece make drinking comfortable
Superior threading on cup and lid is engineered to prevent spills
Durable TritanTM resists odors, stains, and residue
Cup, lid, and removable sipper valve are all top rack dishwasher safe
Lid loop can be clipped to backpack, diaper bag, or stroller
This bottle is manufactured from Eastman Tritan TM copolyester that is manufactured without BPA

I received the Nalgene Frip ‘N Gulp free of charge for the purpose of this review. All words, opinions and photography my own.
Since we’ve moved into our new home we’ve been slowly replacing all the light bulbs. We seem to have a knack of buying houses without a single energy saving bulb in them, and as soon as we move in they … Continue reading →
Like most people I love to take photos, but even though I share my photos regularly here with you, I still fail to get them printed often enough. Last week I shared an easy heart photo wall project and this week I was asked by Your Image 2 Canvas if I would like to do a canvas prints review.
I chose two prints as I prefer to have lots of small images around the house, (it’s probably something to do with having trouble choosing just one picture!) I selected the 12 x 12 square print and the 12 x 16 print and chose two photos from our recent newborn shoot.
One of the first things I noticed about the Your Image 2 Canvas website is the range of choices. You can choose from two different frame widths and select from a range of colours and designs for the canvas edges. The images I chose were ones I knew could be wrapped around the edges of the canvas which is my preferred look and I liked the thin 1inch frame.
Now, these are not my first photo canvas’ but I must say they are my favourite. Firstly the delivery of them was exceedingly quick, from ordering to receiving it was around 48 hours and they were well packaged. Then, the canvas’ themselves are beautifully printed and perfectly stretched onto the frames. I’d certainly use the service again, knowing that I wouldn’t have to wait weeks for them to arrive.
Disclosure: I was provided with the canvas prints free of charge for the purpose of this review. All photos, words and opinions are my own.
BBQ Time – en Francais
August 23, 2013 by Jenni Clutten | 1 Comment
As my extended absence may have suggested, we have been fully enjoying ourselves in Normandie for the last week. The weather was truly glorious which allowed us to have some wonderful BBQ’s. This therefore seemed like an excellent time to review the lovely little Whitstable BBQ that I was sent by Garden Trading a few weeks ago.
As you can see from the fact we took the bbq with us to France it is fantastically portable and very easy to use. We have been using a gas bbq at home until now so I was shocked by just how quickly we managed to get this one going and just how long it stayed hot. We had roasting hot coals in about 30 minutes and managed to cook sausages and pork steaks for 4 as well as 4 fat chicken legs ready for sandwiches later that day.
The bbq itself comes fully assembled with a tiny instruction tag attached to the top. I failed to read this and stupidly left the handle attached, thus also managing to burn off the lovely wooden handle. Take note and do not do this yourself!
Lots more photos of France to come. I hope you’ve been having a lovely summer too!
As I have mentioned before, I love photos, so when I was contacted by Photobox about doing a photo canvas review I was very excited to order. I have been using Photobox for years to print my photos but I had never … Continue reading →
