I was also given the opportunity to review one myself and chose the ‘beer buff’s gift box‘ to share on a date night with Neil last week. It was lovely to share, just the two of us, and provided the perfect mix of treats for us. We were both big fans of the beer, which truly is the best we’ve tasted and I just loved the spicy crackers and cheese.

When thinking about designing a new space I often choose one particular item that I love, to design around. Items that you are really taken with, often inspire an entire room scheme, helping decide what kind of feel to create. Lighting in particular is a great indicator of the mood you would like to create in a room, and really helps to make a place feel homely and relaxing.
Recently the simplistic yet bold Scandi style has really been appealing to me. Those bold geometric patterns mixed with natural wood and differing textures. Here I have used the Nevada table lamp to put together a simple mood board using a range of different options that will create a Scandi look using just a few items. I have designed this little area with either a bedroom or living room in mind making it a flexible choice, and the lamp itself provides some simple, neutral style that could easily adapt to other designs. Ever since I was pregnant with Nye it has been such a relief to go somewhere where everything is all in one place, and this is a perfect opportunity to see a really wide range of products and services. I know it can be a bit daunting when you are pregnant, just working out what you really will need. I was totally clueless and didn’t want to spend a huge amount on things I didn’t need. Thinking back there are lots of things we did buy that we have re-used for our second baby, as well as some new editions, including a maxi cosi car seat because it fits our new mountain buggy duet pushchair. I will say this though, every family is different and it’s important to think about how a baby fits into your life. We try out best to reduce the waste we have, so reusable nappies have been such a good investment. Not only do they reduce waste, it’s such a nice feeling knowing what’s next to your precious newborns skin. Hence why we also love using reusable wipes, cheeky wipes are a great example of how reusable wipes can fit into your everyday routine.
